Thing 3 = Free Wi-Fi Finder

I chose Free Wi-Fi Finder as my Thing 3. I found it in the app store, I downloaded it, clicked on the find free wi-fi button, and eureka, there are a bunch of free wi-fi places near the library. This app will be very useful to me when I travel. I will just have to remember to download it to my own iPad and save the data for use offline. Very nice!

Thing 2 = Mobile Device Tips

Before I could embark on thing 2, I had to get my library's "frozen" iPad to work. I searched the Internet and found a solution: A soft reboot. Yay! It worked. I took some photos of the library; here's one:
and set them as the wallpaper. I changed the lock to rotation because I like the thing oriented vertically. I charged both of my branch's iPads, I updated all their apps, I upgraded them to iOS 7, and then I watched the applicable videos and read the applicable articles in thing 2. I already know how to do most of the iPad things, but it never hurts to read/view refreshers.

23 Mobile Things: Thing 1

I hope to explore some of the apps I personally don't use but that library customers may want to learn how to use. It is very possible that they will ask me about some of these apps at the library, and it will be good for me to know what they are talking about. And I will be using my library branch's iPad, so it will be interesting to see how that works, as I don't know the apple i.d. for it, and I will be sharing it with--I hope--many other staff members. I guess I will uninstall each app after I install and explore it, so that others can do their own installing and exploring.
