thing 10 = Instagram

I signed up for Instagram and took a picture of my beloved Glasgow Library card.  I used the Kelvin treatment for the photo because Kelvin begins the name of the Kelvingrove Art Museum in Glasgow.  I am using the library's iPad, so I don't want to link the Instagram account I created to my personal facebook account.  But I will probably add the Instagram app to my own iPad when I get home tonight.

Thing 9 = LINE camera

I am excited to try the LINE camera app. I read it over, took my picture (I am on telephone reference this morning), added some text, and viola! Very simple, I know, but I can see that this app could be very useful. I just have to figure out how to print from the library's iPad, and then I can make fliers, etc.

Thing 8 = Twitter

The Social Media Management Tool I selected for Thing 8 is Twitter. I enjoy using Twitter myself on my personal iPad. I am mostly a follower although I occasionally tweet. My favorite things about Twitter: Following Scottish authors and breweries & finding out about current events long before I read about them in the newspaper. I also like to put pictures on Twitter when I am traveling. And I love to make up hashtags--that's fun! The two disadvantages for me personally with Twitter are that I don't have a smart phone so I can't live tweet when I am at a conference or event, and I am not "allowed" to be on my personal Twitter account when I am at work, so I can't use Twitter in a "professional" capacity.
